How the new Tye Band EmBrace' Let© came about... While searching on the internet for a Christmas gift for my father-in-law, I decided to give the site contact number a call to help me decide what to order. On the other end of the line was Mr. Mike Pratt. After a friendly conversation about knife display cases, I laughed as I tried to remember my address for shipment. "We are a military family and we have just moved, yet again," I explained. I believe Mike's ears perked up right then. We talked about my husband's service, and how we were on a moving trend this year while my husband was doing some training. Mike suggested I take a look at another web page, this time it was www.OfficerPratt.com. He thought my husband, being a soldier, would be interested in the page. I scrolled down the list of fallen heroes. I saw many of their faces and names. The thought then occurred to me, that my husband would be proud to wear one of these bracelets. He would be honored to say that he owned a Tye Band too. With this in mind, I asked Mike if there was a way to make a bracelet for my husband, Warrant Officer Jeremy T. Welch, for Christmas. I thought he would like to have a bracelet that he could wear that would remind him of his fallen countrymen, and give him comfort in the faces of his wife and children, as well as the words of his Heavenly Father. Together Mike and I have made a Tye Band for my "Standing Hero". Now he can see our faces, no matter where the military takes him. Mike said it best when he used that old adage, "He wears his heart on his sleeve."
